My name is Anita Adhitya and I am the Research Project Manager for the Dr Laurence Cox Cancer Paradigm Project.
My training is in the physical and environmental sciences, with research in oceanography (microbial ecology / environmental microbiology); atmospheric, land and water sciences; optical physics and biophysics, including non-invasive medical applications.
I completed a B.Sc. in Physics from The University of Western Australia, and Masters and Ph.D. degrees in Geosciences from Princeton University in the USA.
My recent work at The University of Western Australia, while Assistant Professor / Lecturer, involved developing a national Medical Physics University Network, tutoring Masters students in medical physics and supervising undergraduates. Previously I lectured in biophysics.
My experience as a Research Consultant has included the review of clinical trials and literature.
I am the co-author of 7 publications.
A teacher/practitioner of traditional Asian bodywork and energy work, I am trained to provide a range of therapies including taichi, qigong, acupressure, massage for cancer, reiki, craniosacral work and stress management. This has included providing services to cancer patients, hospital staff and carers.
